Job Description

As a Virtual Marketing Event Specialist, you'll be responsible for organizing and coordinating travel-related events, ranging from corporate retreats and conferences to destination weddings and group tours, all while working virtually from the comfort of your own home.   3. Vendor Coordination: Liaising with vendors and suppliers, including hotels, transportation companies, catering services, entertainment providers, and local authorities, to secure necessary arrangements for events.

  4. Budget Management: Developing and managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and negotiating with vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality services.

  5. Logistics Planning: Creating detailed event itineraries and schedules, coordinating transportation, accommodations, activities, and other logistics to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for attendees.

  6. Event Promotion: Collaborating with marketing teams to promote events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials, to attract participants and maximize attendance.

  7. Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service and support to clients and event attendees throughout the planning process and during the event, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.

  8. Sales and Commission: Leveraging sales opportunities to maximize commission earnings, including upselling additional services or packages to clients and identifying potential new business leads.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using event planning software, project management tools, and other relevant software.
  • Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or the travel industry is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote work environment.
