As the Construction Foreman/Director of Construction, your primary objective is to manage all facets of earthwork at SPIRE Academy. You will assume complete supervision and accountability for field operations, encompassing daily production, cost management, safety compliance, organization, labor coordination, equipment scheduling, and subcontractor oversight while managing a small in-house field crew. This role requires a strong background in irrigation, waterline, reclaim, and storm installation, along with expertise in grading. Field work will include but not be limited to grading, irrigation, excavation, soil relocation, setting soil and stone, laying initial road infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all aspects of earthwork working alongside the in-house crew to complete projects while overseeing all crew work and serving as direct supervisor
- Assume full responsibility for field operations oversight, including daily production, cost management, safety compliance, organization, labor coordination, equipment scheduling, and subcontractor oversight
- Ensure compliance with codes and regulations to prevent fines and interruptions, including enforcement of OSHA regulations
- Manage cost, scheduling, and forecasting, regularly reviewing with SPIRE owner management team, reporting to Director of Special Properties
- Develop and maintain positive connections with the SPIRE on-site team, maintaining project communication and reporting as needed for SPIRE leadership
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment

- Clean driving record
- Successful completion of pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol tests

Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Foreman in civil construction or earth work
- Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibilities in heavy civil construction
- Ability to schedule and direct work crews and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of plans and specifications, with the ability to prepare work plans
- Proficient skills with lasers, line and grade, deep excavation, and dewatering
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Project)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Class A CDL Driver's License a plus
- Clean driving record and ability to be insured to operate company vehicles
- Successful completion of pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
