Job Description
Job Scope: The Cable Service Technician is a Full-Time position responsible for the service and support of complex cable assemblies for our Digital camera inventory used in the Film and Broadcast Industry. This person will coordinate with the department Lead to test, troubleshoot, and organize new and existing cable assemblies to supplied schematics. Additionally, other responsibilities will include the deployment of cable kits to other departments and locations when scheduled.
Key Responsibilities: - Test and troubleshoot complex cable and wire harnesses (DC, 12-30AWG) using software guided interfaces.
- Create labelling and assign barcodes per department guidelines.
- Oversee cable storage, volume levels, and report on lower inventory.
- Must be able to follow instruction and read diagrams to determine best diagnostic practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation as defined by management, and per health and safety standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience Required: - High School Diploma.
- Test experience with multi-conductor cable assembly preferred (ex: Cirris).
- Proficiency with Windows 10 OS and MS Office apps required.
- Basic electronic fundamentals, proficiency with DMM meters required.
- Fiber Optic termini cleaning methods preferred.
- Experience with BNC coaxial crimp cables preferred.
- Good cable management/wrangling techniques required.
- Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints while maintaining high performance standards.
- Ability to remain flexible, multi task, prioritize and work on own initiative.
- Effective organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position regularly requires long hours and some weekend work.
Salary Range: $17.50 - $18.50 / Per Hour
