BAR MANAGER- La Cour is actively seeking an exceptional and qualified BAR MANAGER for our  Highland Village restaurant. We seek stylish, enthusiastic, and genuine individuals to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be naturally creative and charismatic with a dynamic personality and a strong sense of urgency and organization. We seek individuals who possess a true sense of warmth and have inherent abilities to hustle. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years in a senior leadership position overseeing a full-service restaurant
• ServeSafe Certificate required
• Strong leadership ability
• Excellent communication at all levels; fluent in both written and spoken English
• Strong financial acumen
• A big-picture mentality
• A hands-on approach, leads by example
• An amicable personality, sense of humor, a healthy interest in social competition, and passionate about hospitality is the right fit
• The capability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods, and working nights, weekends, and holidays
• FOH operations or management: 2 years (Required)
• Have extensive knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, and house cocktails. This includes but is not limited to cocktail specs & ingredients, brands, flavor profiles of each ingredient, the cocktail, and any possible allergens.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Bar Manager is responsible for complete oversight of the cocktail & spirits programs at the restaurant, meeting goals for revenue and cost control, and developing managers and hourly staff in continued beverage education
• Create new and seasonal cocktail lists, maintaining records of cocktail specs & ingredients, cocktail COGS
• Train and develop bartenders on cocktail recipes, bar program, protocols, and order of operations
• Train and develop FOH team on the bar program
• Ensure high standard of quality control of cocktail ingredients and recipes
• Update and maintain cocktail recipes and spec lists
• Ensure bar is well-stocked and clean
• Ensure quality control of all products
• Maintain proper inventory levels
• Initiate and maintain vendor relationships
• Perform inventory of bar products (wine, liquor, other bar ingredients) on a regular, agreed upon schedule
• Ensure all bars have current look books, updated cocktail recipes, bar tools
• Review weekly cost of goods sold figures
• Discuss daily invoice review, pricing, ordering procedures, waste and spoilage, poor handling/production procedures, portioning problems, equipment failure, yield problems, inventory procedures
• Maintain bar revenue targets and monitor costs
• Ensure period targets are met
• Track customer behavior and sales
• Greet guests warmly, genuinely, with a smile & eye contact
• Coordinate service at the bar with barback, runners & bartenders when appropriate
• Serve alcoholic beverages only to guests over 21 years of age
• Check IDs at every table, without exception
