Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to provide engineering support to the Maintenance Engineering Airworthiness Office, which is within the Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation and Missile Center, System Readiness Directorate located at Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi, TX.


Successful candidate will be responsible for performing work in which the principles, theories, and general body of knowledge of engineering is required.


Candidate may be involved in one or more phases of the developmental cycle of an organization's products or in providing services to external customers such as the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD).


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure engineering activities (analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring) best meets (as resources allow) established requirements.
  • Be able to facilitate process or material change recommendations for maintenance and production processes and assist with the update of maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
  • Be proficient in performing technical reviews of draft and active DMWR, MWO, TB and TM documents.
  • Ability to develop presentations to provide project status updates to government customers.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials, Chemistry or a related technical discipline and 12 + years related experience.
  • Previous military experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written - and possess analytical skills to identify and fault isolate problems/issues, accurately assess relevance of information, generate, and evaluate alternatives, and provide solution recommendations.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with an adaptive personality.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Position requires that candidate be a US citizen with the ability to obtain or possess a current security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Helicopter repair and/or pilot experience
  • UH-60, AH-64 and/or CH-47 systems experience
  • Boeing and/or Sikorsky Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) experience
