- Looking for software + technical
business end user documentation experience who can write for that
audience, our audience, to meet with.
- Looking for a solid technical
writing experience and need someone who can translate those technical
concepts into easy-to-understand language.
- Writing samples or a portfolio
required.
- Looking
for really someone who can take initiative as a self-starter and can
manage their own domain of technical writing work.
- The
technical writing will be for several internal and public-facing software
products for, sort of technical consumers.
- Looking
for someone who has had experience writing procedural documentation for
software for basically for consumers, not for an engineering audience but
for an end user, but a business end user.
- The
individual will be working as part of a team of technical writers who will
also be supporting those products.
- It'd
be very useful to have familiarity with AdTech if any of the candidates
have it, but definitely with software and that's key.
- The
candidate will be responsible for managing the documentation process,
working directly with stakeholders from products and with engineering, and
will work with project engineering folks who are in sites around the
world.
- Experience
working with globally distributed teams is an asset. We have an internal
file guide, a house file guide, but also use an external file guide. So
experience using and adopting a file guide is definitely an asset.
- We
use Confluence and another third party product called Document 360.
Familiarity with either of these as well as the ability to create
documentation using Markdown. Not complicated, but certainly good to know
for this role.
- Providing
work samples can help demonstrate the candidate's capabilities and
suitability for the position.
- They
use JavaScript with content Management system, but don’t need heavy
JavaScript, it is just helpful and GitHub on the Documentation side.
- Hybrid
role 3days onsite 2days remote Tuesday through Thursday)
- 12
months contract with possible extension.
- Any
Content Management System experience is fine but Document 360 would be
helpful.
- Should
be good at Project Management experience.
- Need
to be flexible with time zone. (Would collaborate regularly with teams
located in regions around the world, including Canada, the United States
and India.)

Summary

What you
will do
- Produce
and maintain world-class documentation, including: product documentation,
user guides, and developer guides including API guides.
- Work
closely with globally distributed product managers, engineers, and other
organizational stakeholders.
- Manage
the end-to-end documentation process including authoring, editing,
reviewing, publishing and maintaining content.
- Manage
the style, layout and design of documents according to our house style
guide.
- Plan,
schedule, and track documentation work to meet product release dates and
deliverables.
What you
will need
Required experience
- 4
to 6+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in a technical
domain, creating documentation and related resources for both technical
and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent
English written and verbal communication.
- Strong
analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to operate in a
fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.
- Ability
to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them in comprehensive,
accurate, accessible and easy to understand documentation.
- Proven
ability to work independently, collaboratively, and lead and manage
multiple projects/tasks in a cross-disciplinary team.
- Adaptability
and ability to adjust to an evolving role and steady change within our
fast-growing company.
- Familiarity
with a topic-based, learning objective oriented approach to creating
documentation.
- Familiarity
with the AdTech industry and AdTech concepts.
Required

- Experience
working with Agile/Scrum software development teams.
- Familiarity
with the software development lifecycle.

with data management, reporting and business intelligence concepts.
- Working
knowledge of MS Office, Confluence, Jira, Slack, Google Docs, graphics

of HTML, Markdown, Javascript, JSON, SQL, and APIs.
- Experience
working with content management systems including Confluence and

working within a developing information architecture and familiarity with
