Summary

The ServiceNow Developer will help lead the adoption of ServiceNow. The successful candidate will have fluency in the ServiceNow customization and APIs in addition to supporting the implementation of IT service management modules of ServiceNow.

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing the ServiceNow configuration and data migration where applicable
  • Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to identify ways to simplify user experience
  • Create custom dashboard or reports as required
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect and ServiceNow Support concerning strategies and platform upgrades 
  • Experience working with any of the core ITSM processes:
    • Service Catalog Management
    • Incident Management
    • Change Management
    • Problem Management
    • Request Management
    • Knowledge Management
    • Asset Management
    • Discovery and CMDB
    • Self-Service Portal
    • Future modules may include Field Service Management and Request Management
    • Interfaces with SCCM, Netcool and other management tools
  • Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services
  • Generate operational reports and KPI analysis
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of the application 
  • Maintain production system reliability through change management process 
  • Transform functional requirements into detailed technical designs that translate to actionable development tasks 
  • Carry out functional testing and defect resolution to identify ways to simplify user experience
  • Assist with technical design and documentation: Specification Documentations, Procedures, etc.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to build solutions in ServiceNow that support business requirements
  • Perform version upgrades as approved

 

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required
  • Experience implementing Service Catalog, MID Server, CMS, Integrations with LDAP, and other applications external to ServiceNow
  • 3+ years of experience with ITIL Service Management processes. ITIL Foundations certification a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Java Scripting 
  • 2-3 years of database technologies such as JDBC, SQL 
  • 2+ years of experience with Web technologies such as DHTML, CSS, AJAX, XML, HTTP 
  • 3-5 years ServiceNow platform
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
  • Proven experience in delivering ServiceNow for organizations of 5000+ users
  • Configuration Management Database (CMDB) experience
  • Familiarity with User Interface design and User Experience concepts
  • Experience developing and implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology
