Position: Senior Data Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 month contract to start, potential to extend based on workload

Skills

• Experience in supporting short, and long term, data management and strategic business activities through the analysis of data.
• Ability to conduct in depth data analysis for projects as well as ongoing data quality initiatives
• Experience in creating datasets from a variety of disparate sources to further data management initiatives and processes.
• Demonstrated ability in performing data mining on large datasets to supplement data management quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience consulting with business stakeholders to document business requirements to support client needs.
• Experience presenting reports with analysis and interpretation for business review and planning.
• Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and database structures, with proficiency in SQL.
• Develop and recommend business solutions through research and analysis of data
• Use creativity and process improvement skills to expand and improve existing processes and create new ones in accordance with data governance best practices
• Experience with implementing Data Management lifecycle toolsets
• Experience with implementing master data and/or reference data programs or toolsets
• Practical experience working with multiple project management methodologies including at least one of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe
• Working with project management organizational or visualization tools; examples could be Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, SmartSheet, Wrike, or Rally

Nice To have

• Knowledge of statistical analysis, and statistical software such as SAS, SPSS or R preferred

Qualifications

• Four years of experience as a data analyst on a data management or data governance initiative.
• Bachelor degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related.
