Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee our civil infrastructure projects, including heavy highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), and other concrete-related structures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and manage heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
* Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to establish project objectives and ensure effective communication.
* Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Oversee project budgets, including cost tracking and forecasting, to ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
* Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Lead project meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and facilitate problem-solving.
* Ensure all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, are accurately maintained.
* Manage project risk through proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
* Foster a positive team environment and promote collaboration among project team members.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction sector
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, particularly in highway and bridge construction.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
