Job Responsibilities:
1. Clinic Registration:
As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for efficiently handling all aspects of clinic registration. This includes welcoming patients, collecting necessary information, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records. Your role will be crucial in providing a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out.
2. Patient Communication:
You will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your exceptional communication skills will allow you to provide timely and accurate information while addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Your ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere will contribute to our patients' overall satisfaction with our clinic.
4. Insurance Coordination:
As a Patient Service Representative , you will work closely with insurance companies to verify coverage for medical services. Your knowledge of insurance procedures, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex insurance systems will ensure our patients receive the necessary care without delays or complications.
5. Administrative Support:
In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will provide general administrative support to the department, including managing patient records and data entry. Your excellent organizational skills and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, enabling smooth operations within our clinic.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a healthcare setting. Previous experience specifically in Clinic Registration is highly preferred.
- Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic knowledge of orthopedic procedures is desirable. Willingness to learn and stay updated on medical advancements is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies. Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude are essential for this role.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in using electronic medical records and scheduling systems is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail when verifying patient information, insurance coverage, and scheduling appointments. The ability to identify errors and make necessary corrections is crucial in ensuring accurate patient records and efficient clinic operations.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions while adhering to policies and protocols. The capacity to navigate through challenging situations, handle patient concerns, and provide suitable resolutions.
