Job Description

MEMCO SER is currently looking for a EXPERIENCED  handyman for a park in downtown Houston!

Responsibilities:

• Perform general park maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of park structures, trails, playgrounds, and restroom facilities.
• Maintain and repair park equipment such as benches, picnic tables, fencing, and signage.
• Conduct routine inspections of park areas to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
• Assist with landscaping tasks, such as lawn care, tree trimming, planting, and seasonal cleanups.
• Operate and maintain park machinery and tools, including lawnmowers, pressure washers, and hand tools.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs when necessary.
• Ensure that all park amenities are safe, clean, and well-maintained for public enjoyment.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Work closely with park management to ensure all areas are well-maintained and meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment used, and any maintenance issues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and landscaping.
• Ability to use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and park machinery safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to park policies
