Position Summary:

The Monitor Technician is responsible for overseeing and documenting various aspects of construction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring construction activities, and providing detailed reports to the project management team. The Construction Monitor Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that the construction process runs smoothly and that all work is performed according to the established guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly visit project site to observe and document ongoing activities. Ensure that construction work is being performed in compliance with project plan, and specifications.
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed work to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications. Report any deviations or deficiencies to the Monitoring Project Engineer.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of site visits, inspections, and observations. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Monitoring Project Engineer, highlighting any issues or concerns.
  • Serve as a liaison between the construction site and the project management team. Communicate any issues, delays, or changes in the construction process to the appropriate parties.
  • Oversee and document environmental conditions on the construction site, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and permits. Report any violations or concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure that all construction equipment is being used properly and maintained according to safety standards. Report any malfunctions or misuse to the site supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on site monitoring, quality control, or safety inspection.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and equipment.
