Job Description

Lead Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Seaside Hospital is a 1.0 FTE full time position on a Day shift.

$10,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment!

Coordinates, supervises and educates staff regarding activities associated with surgical instrument preparation, including instruments by procedure and instrument count sheets for assigned services. Organizes inventories and maintains sterile instrument inventory system for assigned services. Works collaboratively with departments to identify instrument needs. Assists in the training of personnel in general instrumentation procedures and specific complex instrumentation. Coordinates instrument repairs for surgical services.

Required qualifications:

  • upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or

  • upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.

  • 5 years Recent Sterile Processing experience.

  • 4 years For cost center 535-83800 ONLY- four (4) years’ recent Sterile Processing experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree.

  • Leadership experience.
