Job Description: Lead Preschool 2 Teacher with Crystal’s Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program

Crystal's Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program is seeking dedicated individuals with a strong background in early childhood education to join our team as a Lead Preschool 2 Teacher. As a Lead Preschool 2 Teacher with Crystal’s Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children, guiding, and mentoring other staff members, and fostering a love of learning in our students.
Key Responsibilities for Lead Preschool 2 Teacher with Crystal’s Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program:
Classroom Leadership: Lead and manage a classroom of young learners ages 3-5, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for all children.
Curriculum Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with our curriculum goals and encourage children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Supervision and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and aides, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Child Assessment: Observe and assess children's progress, identifying individual needs and developing strategies to support their growth.
Parent Communication: Establish strong partnerships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and classroom activities.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other lead teachers and center administrators to ensure the smooth operation of the childcare program.
Classroom Management: Implement effective classroom management techniques, promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining a clean and secure environment for the children.
Qualifications for Lead Preschool 2Teacher with Crystal’s Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
Associate's degree or 28 credits in early childhood education or relevant fields, including art, psychology, sociology, teaching, etc., will also be considered.
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential will be accepted in lieu of formal education.
2 years of experience working in an early childhood education setting is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of child development theories, early childhood education principles, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Passionate about early childhood education and committed to the growth and development of young learners.
Ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students to reach their full potential.
Additional Information for Lead Preschool 2 Teacher with Crystal’s Cuddle Bugs Childcare Program:
Compensation for the Lead Teacher position ranges from $18.85/hour to $22.85/hour, commensurate with experience in the industry and with Cuddle Bugs, and education. New external hires can expect starting pay within the range of $18.85/hour to $21.50/hour, based on qualifications.

Lead Teachers can choose from a 5-day 8-hour week or a 4-day 10-hour week. Flexible hours and days to meet your needs. Full-time, 40 hours weekly is required.
