Job Description

A Residential landscaping company that's been serving the western suburbs of Chicago since 1952 is looking for a Landscape Designer to support the sales team. This position is involved in many aspects of the design and project management process.

Responsibilities

• Design Support
  • Accompany Design / Sales Lead on site visits when necessary for measurements, pictures, and conversations
  • Create base plan in DynaScape
  • Create initial landscape design concepts, review with Design / Sales Lead, and finalize ideas into DynaScape
  • Create DynaScape drawings from hand sketches, as needed
  • Create plant pullsheet and crew paperwork from DynaScape Manage 360
  • Create 3D imaging from UVision
  • Coordinate with Office Manager to create plant and hardscape pictures
  • Render designs by hand or digitally
  • Design revisions as needed
• Production Phase
  • Work with Design / Sales Lead to create and submit permit paperwork
  • Order plant material from suppliers
  • Create as-built drawings as needed
• Additional Duties
  • Assist with service sheets for design & sales leads
  • Other responsibilities and duties as needed to support the organization

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Design, Architecture, or Horticulture
• Minimum 3 years professional experience (preferred)
• Experience with AutoCAD, DynaScape, or similar CAD based program
• 3D graphic modeling experience a plus
• Must love custom residential design
• Strong planting design knowledge
