About the Role:
The Jr. Media Specialist will work closely with the Media Specialist/Supervisor and Associate Media Director to manage and execute media plans (i.e. TV, Radio, Print, Social, Digital, etc.), approvals, budgets, reporting and client billings. The Jr. Media Specialist is responsible for executing integrated client media plans accurately and in a timely manner. This position is the main point of contact with all media partners and vendors.
Essential Functions:
Media plan execution and management
Responsible for maintaining and updating media plans and flowcharts
Reviewing buy proposals with Supervisor and AMD, and creating insertion orders and broadcast orders in Strata or current media buying software
Assist with managing on-going makegoods and credits
Request media kits & rate cards from vendors
Assist with compiling specs from vendors for creative assets & developing a detailed “spec sheet”
Work with the account teams to ensure timely delivery of creative and traffic creative to vendors
Schedule vendor meetings
Liaise with implementation teams to ensure that deliverables align with overall plan strategies, timelines are met, and programs/results are coordinated and presented to client
Gather and assist in reviewing performance reports from vendors
Gather and organize estimated and final KPIs at the start and end of campaigns to assist in the development of campaign launch and recap presentations
Receive and reconcile all media invoices and resolve billing discrepancies
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
Great written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Excel, including building pivot tables
Ability to learn new software systems
Experience with OneDrive
Knowledge of Strata or Media Ocean, a plus
1-3 years of experience in media planning and media buying
Prior use of paid social media and paid search platforms, a plus
Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting
Must be willing to work hybrid work schedule (Tuesday and Thursday in office and work from home the remainder of the week)
