Our client is an electrical contractor that provides services in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.

 

Job Summary

Our client is currently seeking for a Journeyman Electrician who will  need to install conduit boxes for fire alarm, and be able to bend pipe, read plans and specs.

 

Job Description

• Candidates will need to install conduit boxes for fire alarm, and be able to bend pipe, read plans and specs
• The project he will be needing assistance with is an armory center steel construction with block
• Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
• Install various types of conduits to electrical devices and equipment.
• Ensure piping complies with electrical codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Perform all phases on construction phase from underground and rough-ins to punch-lists
• Install primary and secondary distribution and switchgear.
• Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replace conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replace circuit breakers as needed

 

Skills Required

• Experience working on commercial construction projects: Schools, hospitals, high rises, data centers, distribution/warehouses.
• 4+ years of experience pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures and plugs.
• Ability to size wire, read drawings, and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to make up panels and transformers (terminating)

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

Additional Requirements

• Journeyman Electrician license issued by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
• Candidate MUST have National Cable Splicing Certification for Medium Voltage Conductors
• Candidate could work at any of the ff project: Pensacola, FL; Kings Bay, GA; or Shreveport, LA
• Shift Hours: Typically 7:00am - 4:00pm depending on the needs

 

Pay Rate/Salary

• Pay is based on level of experience
