Clark Creative Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Programmer.
The contractor will be modifying older (2014-2015) Java applications to meet new, tougher security requirements set by the DoD/DISA Cyber Assessment Branch. You will be reading Software Assurance and Risk Management Reports (SwARM) reports which pinpoint lines of code that are problematic as well as suggestions on how to fix the issues. Experience coding in a Department of Defense or otherwise security centric environment is a strong plus.We anticipate this project to take 250 hours, including coding and testing.
Testing will be done in conjunction with the project manager and system administrator, who already have system certification testing processes in place. The current team meets once a day at 10:00 AM to review project progress for 30 minutes or less.
You will have access to a remote DoD AWS based test bed for doing development and certifying your work.
Emphasis for the team you will be joining is on productivity and meeting goals, not working specified hours. You will be working from home, so you can do your work at any time of day or night. Only the 10:00 AM meetings are set at a specified time.
Qualifications and Skills
1. At least two years of intermediate java application development experience.
2. Either a college degree in CS with an emphasis in software development or a recent "boot camp" certification as an enterprise Java Developer.
3. Secret Security Clearance strongly preferred but not necessary.
4. Self discipline and a personal commitment to meeting goals and maintaining standards is crucial. The current team will train you on the current project and help as necessary. However, everyone has their own domain and requirements, and everyone depends on everyone else to keep up and meet their objectives.
