Job Description
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Success Coaches to support early care and education teachers in ensuring high-quality instruction that meets local, state, and federal standards. In this role, you will collaborate closely with childcare Site Administrators, Family Engagement Specialists, Teachers, and Families to lead and guide early childhood educators in their professional development. This is an exciting opportunity to be a resource for Childcare COVID-19 Relief Fund programs and help ensure the successful implementation of the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies in Infant and Toddler classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Support for Teachers and Administrators:
Embrace and promote the philosophy and vision of the organization.
Model best practices in early childhood instruction that align with state and local guidelines, as well as COVID-19 relief fund policies.
Conduct regular classroom visits (4-6 hours per month) to observe teacher-student interactions and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching strategies.
Serve as a resource for teachers, offering guidance on curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
Collaborate with other Success Coaches and the Support Team to organize professional development opportunities tailored to the needs of the teaching staff.
Work with external agencies and consultants to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Professional Development & Curriculum Support:
Attend required training sessions on topics such as the Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale, Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies, and more.
Support early learning facilities in implementing and interpreting data from educational assessment tools.
Provide on-site coaching, including modeling lessons and offering direct support to teachers in classroom settings.
Assist teachers in aligning their teaching practices with established standards, curriculum, and assessments.
Collaborate with partner agency staff to provide technical assistance and ensure high-quality outcomes for children.
Internal and External Communication:
Communicate effectively with staff, families, and community partners about coaching and support services.
Maintain thorough documentation of teacher observations, action plans, and progress.
Report monthly on coaching activities and provide feedback to the Education Manager and Support Team on trends or challenges in the classrooms.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
North Carolina Birth-Kindergarten (BK) or Pre-K Add-on Professional Teaching License.
At least five years of experience as a lead teacher in an Infant-Toddler or Pre-K classroom using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD.
Experience in leadership roles within early education, including training, mentoring, or providing technical assistance to teachers.
Knowledge of dual language learning, curriculum development, and quality improvement systems is preferred.
Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Additional Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight.
Valid driver's license required.
Language Skills:
Strong ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Must be able to perform basic tasks such as typing, talking, hearing, and visual tasks such as focusing and adjusting vision.
Ability to perform light physical work, occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with benefits. The role includes both office and field-based work and offers flexibility, including remote work options.
Location & Travel:
This position is based in Winston-Salem, NC, with occasional travel required for local site visits and potential out-of-area conferences or training.
