(Physician/MD qualifications required) Hematology and Oncology - A new Hematology-Oncology (or Medical Oncology) Physician opportunity is now available within a regional health system located in southeastern Iowa with reach into Illinois. Our Cancer Care Institute has aligned itself with other oncologists in the area to provide a new regional model of cancer care. We are responding to a rapidly changing cancer landscape by expanding our provider staff, coordinating care at even a higher level and offering more opportunities for participation in clinical trials. In addition, our staff is highly skilled, making it possible to explore all treatment options in a fully integrated, patient-focused approach. Position Summary: In this position, you will have inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities to facilitate superior patient management by performing comprehensive health histories and physical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, and incorporating health risk profiles. This role further requires professional interaction with a multidisciplinary team of professionals as well as obtaining consultations and|or referrals to other providers and services lines as deemed necessary. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills to explain the disease process, diagnostic findings and the treatment plan as well as discussing side effects and other complications over the course of treatment.

Starting Salary: $400,000 - $475,000, with
two-year guarantee and
transition to wRVU Model
Sign-On Bonus: $100,000 (forgiven over 2
years)

Call Rotation: 1 in 4

Office Location: Main Clinic within Cancer Institute and two outreach locations will be shared among 4 physicians; longest distance traveled is 40 miles.
