About the Role

Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for a File Clerk. As a member of our Operations team, this position's main responsibility is sorting, preparing, and scanning incoming mail into our systems. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, organized, and efficient. This position is located full-time at our Marietta, PA home office location.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Sort, prep and scan incoming mail
• Process documents for other departments
• Scan miscellaneous documents
• Handle inquiries
• Ensure work is distributed to the appropriate individuals on a timely basis
• Must be able to sit for long lengths of time
• Effectively evaluate information and accurately determine if discrepancies exist with provided information
• Efficiently research and resolve any discrepancies so that the business can be completed in a timely manner
• Accurately complete assigned tasks on a timely basis
• Preform daily general office tasks such as filing, data entry, recoding and maintaining records, copying, distributing and other similar duties using appropriate office equipment
• Provide timely, courteous, and quality assistance to other departments as needed
• Clearly demonstrate commitment and participation to team goals and objectives
• Pro-actively coordinate work with others in support of department objective
• Comply with policies and directives outlined in the company handbook

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience working within a production oriented work environment
• High School Diploma or GED

Work Arrangement

With each department and position being different, the work arrangement for a specific position will be reviewed with candidates during a initial phone screening.
