Pay: $68,000 to $78,000 per year plus standard 10% Bonus Compensation based annual salary

Position Summary:

The Field Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations which includes but is not limited to scheduling daily work activities of assigned Mapping and Condition Assessment personnel. The Field Services Coordinator will organize tasks in order to complete assigned work; monitor the status of work in progress and inspect the completed work of Mapping and Condition Assessment personnel by performing established quality assurance procedures. The Field Services Coordinator will confer with Mapping and Condition Assessment personnel to assist with complex/problem situations, provide technical expertise, train associates on operational procedures and proper use of equipment.

The Field Services Coordinator will manage all equipment and software problems; will conduct employee performance evaluations and list requirements for training and development for assigned Mapping and Condition Assessment personnel. Field Services Coordinator will serve as a mentor to all Mapping and Condition Assessment personnel regarding general activities or specialized skill sets, as well as assisting in resolution of work problems related to project specifications. The Field Services Coordinator will perform duties throughout the City and County, including working in wooded areas and river swamp lands inspects sites, determines what will be required to map and do condition assessment, keeps accurate notes, and draws sketches if needed to document. The Field Services Coordinator will communicate with property owners regarding Mapping and Condition Assessment work in the area, which may involve accessing private property to perform inspections.

The Field Services Coordinator will also serve as the Fleet Coordinator for the organization and play a crucial role in corporate vehicle performance and maintenance. This will include but is not limited to fleet maintenance, procuring and replacing vehicles, as well as the coordination of all vehicle registrations, manufacturer recalls, and citation payments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Managing and adjusting staffing capacity to meet performance goals.

• Establishing and maintaining sufficient training programs to meet performance goals.

• Establish, maintain, and enforce adequate control policies and procedures to ensure high levels of accuracy

• Provide weekly and monthly progress reports.

• Attend weekly and monthly briefings and planning sessions.

• Assist with and identify process improvements.

• Manage multiple, changing priorities and execute within short timelines to deliver results through active project management.

• Maintain professional relationships with associates and clients.

• Must Complete 60 hours of professional development per year.

• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education- GED or Highschool degree required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Skills- Employee must have a valid driver’s license and utilize their vehicle occasionally to visit job sites across the city when an AWPM vehicle is not available.

• Three or more years of experience supervising Field Services employees.

• Preferred proficiency in the following technologies: Microsoft Office Suite, ESRI ArcGIS products including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD Civil3D, and handheld GPS devices.

• Preferred familiarity with engineering and construction drawings

• Preferred infrastructure and site surveying experience.

• Work occurs at various sites across the city and at times near or on residential property and contact with the general public may occur.

Typical Physical Demands:

Field work will require the traversal of uneven terrain, across ditches, and through marshes or swampy land. Requires the ability to be able to walk for long distances while carrying equipment. Must be able to lift inlet grate or manhole covers (typically 100lbs or less) utilizing tools and to use other tools such as a sledgehammer, pickaxe, or shovel. Associate may be exposed to traffic hazards, dangerous animals, insects, poisonous plants, and weeds. Work will primarily be outside, and the worker will be exposed to both hot and cold working conditions.
