You will be an integrated team member collaborating with System, Hardware, and Test Engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Design, Development, and Testing. These teams are dedicated to solving complex problems and developing creative technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Products are primarily safety critical embedded systems such as flight control computers, engine control computers, cabin systems, flight desk panels, as well as hybrid-drive systems for ground vehicles.
BAE Systems offers a number of programs for entry level engineers. These potential placements include the Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP), Engineering Rotational Program (ERP), the VERGE Mentoring Program, and Direct Engineering positions. Each of these programs offer mentoring opportunities from experienced engineers, targeted technical training, and diverse technical assignments.
As an Engineering Entry Level Program participant, you will gain: - Experience: Our Entry Level Programs are designed to provide diverse set of experiences within various Engineering areas and disciplines, where participants are also exposed to a variety of networking opportunities and strategic project initiatives.
- Diversity: Our Entry Level Programs may provide an opportunity to work in cross-functional and/or cross-site rotational assignments.
- Flexibility: Our Entry Level Programs provide a great deal of flexibility and choice for program participants, including participant input into 2nd and 3rd rotational assignments, based on business need and availability.
- Education: Pursuant of graduate degree on a part-time basis is encouraged or required for certain Entry Level Programs. The school and specific technical degree is flexible based on applicability to the business and the candidate's desired career path. BAE Systems provides tuition assistance for this degree.
- Mentorship: Each program provides an opportunity for mentorship from business and technical leaders, which helps expose participants to diverse and challenging experiences, while providing guidance in choosing rotations, career development, and off-program placement.
- Personal growth : Our programs seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills through various special assignments, modules taught by business and technical leaders, and potential participation in specialized company-wide development conferences.
Our Entry Level Programs are three-year programs designed to develop high potential, entry-level individuals into future leaders. You’ll have the opportunity to experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups.
