What are you going to do

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and troubleshoot electrical systems for Oil and Gas facilities.
• Conduct power studies, short circuit calculations, coordination studies, and arc flash calculations using electrical modeling programs (SKM, ETAP, MilSoft, etc.).
• Design and troubleshoot electric motors and related equipment, including motor starters, motor protection relays, and variable frequency drives.
• Implement and oversee preventative/predictive maintenance concepts for electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, government regulations, and industry standards (IEEE, NFPA, NEC, NESC, API).
• Interface effectively with technical, analytical, and managerial personnel.
• Manage projects, including contracts, proposals, bids, and budgeting.

Work Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (M-F, 8-5)
• Work from home on Mondays and Fridays

Essential skills and knowledge

Critical Success Factors & Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of related experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Operational knowledge of Oil and Gas facilities/equipment and their electrical requirements.
• Experience with power system design and electrical modeling programs.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong project management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Upstream experience is preferred, but candidates with experience in engineering firms or utility companies are also encouraged to apply.
