Hybrid Telework Opportunity

This is the full journey level. Incumbents perform the more responsible, varied, and complex technical analytical staff services work and continually provide consultative services to management or others. They may act as team leaders or coordinate the efforts of representatives of various governmental agencies on larger projects.

In the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) Office of Information Services Division (OIS) work environment, staff handle confidential patient data. Specific statutes and regulations, and HCAI policies and procedures, govern the collection, storage, disclosure, and use of confidential data. The incumbent is responsible for the safe and secure handling of this data in compliance with these policies and procedures.

Working Conditions

HCAI offers a hybrid telework schedule with a combination of remote and in-office work schedules for CA residents only . The telework policy is subject to change, and additional in-office days may be required and/or minimal notification may be given to report to the worksite if an urgent need arises. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • At least 1 year experience with large-scale data collection programs
  • At least 1 year experience working with ICD and CPT code sets
  • At least 1 year experience with validation edits for data quality control
  • At least 1 year experience working with confidential data
  • At least 1 year experience developing processes or procedures
  • At least 1 year experience with the interpretation or application of laws, regulations, or requirements
  • At least 1 year customer service experience
  • At least 1 year experience documenting communications or other information
  • At least 1 year experience with data review and analysis
  • At least 1 year experience with database query tools
