Job Summary:

Are you passionate about using research to positively impact quality of life and health outcomes? The research lab of Dr. Taylor House is hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate research studies focused on enhancing communication between children with kidney disease and their medical teams to improve health outcomes. You will have the opportunity to be involved in daily research activities such as participant screening, recruiting, enrollment, and coordination, as well as broader strategic initiatives within the lab, including process development and building academic and community partnerships. The House Lab is part of the School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, a vibrant, interdisciplinary, nationally recognized clinical and research academic department.

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred focus in communication, education, anthropology, sociology, psychology, or biology.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, and/or other database management software

Preferred:
- Research experience with basic quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Experience with Qualtrics, REDCap, or similar programs
- Experience with qualitative data management software such as Dedoose, ATLAS.ti, or NVivo
- Experience submitting IRB applications and/or interacting with the IRB
- Interest or experience in clinician communication with patients, children and adolescents, kidney disease, or decision making

The candidate should have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. The candidate must be dependable, with superb written and oral communication skills. They should demonstrate evidence of being a quick learner, motivated to develop new skills.

Work Type:

Part Time: 50% - 80%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
