RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Quality Coordinator for the
Quality Resource Services department at the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health
Center.
The Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center (with Monmouth Medical Center
Southern Campus Behavioral Health Services) constitutes a freestanding 100-bed
acute care psychiatric facility which provides inpatient and intensive
outpatient programs for adults and older adults diagnosed with psychiatric and
dual disorders. As an integrated healthcare system with an outstanding

implement, and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric patients in accordance
with the Nurse Practice Act for the State of New Jersey and the policies and
procedures of the Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center. All methods of
practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be
carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner
demonstrating concern and consideration. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate
Barnabas Healths philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying
that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.
**Qualifications:**
**Required:**
* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
* Minimum of 5 years clinical experience
**Certifications and Licenses Required:**
* BLS certification
* Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
**Preferred:**
* Baccalaureate degree in nursing or relevant field of study
* Prior experience with PI and data collectionanalysis
* Clinical experience in a behavioral health setting
**Scheduling Requirements:**
* Day shift, Per Diem
**Essential Functions:**
* The Quality Coordinator will assist in developing an organizational culture of quality care and performance improvement
* Utilizes a variety of data reports to measure, analyze and improve clinical quality and outcomes
* Performs chart audits, workflow analysis and other activities to measure and monitor clinical quality
* Will assess, recommend, implement and monitor appropriate measures to track performance and identify areas of opportunity to facilitate improvement teams and provide education to staff based on identified needs
* Assist medical staff through the Peer Review process and actively supports National Patient Safety Goals and High Reliability initiatives within the organization
* Assist with monitoring accreditation and regulatory standards and participates in hospital surveys
