About ASET West Jefferson, OH : AmplifyBios safety, efficacy, and toxicology unit (ASET) was launched as a preclinical CRO that spun out of Battelle in 2021 to address the changing needs of commercial organizations developing modern therapeutics. AmplifyBio brings decades of experience to accommodate a wide variety of GLP and non-GLP studies in all in vivo models and dose routes. Among the investments that AmplifyBio has made to empower preclinical assessments of advanced therapies is building a new state-of-the-art analytical laboratory to include molecular and immunological assays that assess critical safety and efficacy indicators for cell and gene therapies during preclinical studies

AmplifyBio is seeking to hire a Clinical Pathology Technician to join our growing team!!!

The Clinical Pathology Technician is responsible for routine automated and manual procedures in the areas of hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, and parasitology in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). In addition, the individual may perform several of the following procedures including, but not limited to clinical pathology sample preparation, necropsy, tissue trimming, embedding, staining, microtomy, quality control, and tissue/slide inventory.

Our Clinical Pathology Technicians are proficient with processing samples, filing, and maintaining and troubleshooting all laboratory equipment in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This position will join a staff of highly trained scientist and technicians, and state of the art facilities to support our clients toxicology, safety pharmacology, and inhalation research programs.

AmplifyBio is rapidly expanding its service offerings related to the discovery, translation, and development of advanced therapies such as gene and cell therapies. As part of the team, the right candidate will help support the companys growing portfolio of service offerings and commercial capabilities. What Youll Do Here:

  • Understand and closely follow relevant Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Study Protocol requirements regarding all laboratory activities assigned and/or engaged in.
  • Use proper record keeping documenting work activities.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and experimental procedures and apply this knowledge in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks.
  • Conduct standard as well as non-standard tasks under the close supervision and guidance of more experienced staff.
  • Respond appropriately to various alarms and potential emergency situations.
  • Adhere to chemical agent, facility, and bio-facility safety requirements.
  • Read assigned SOPs promptly to remain in compliance with AmplifyBio policies and regulations.
  • Follow health and safety requirements that are posted or within relevant SOPs.
  • Willingness to continue to learn new tasks to expand knowledge as opportunities present.
  • May assist in other related areas to include histology, cage wash, chemistry, off site pathology (BBRC) based on needs and skills.

We Would Love to Hear from You If:

  • Bachelors degree in medical technology, MT (ASCP) or associate degree in medical technology, MLT (ASCP) or Clinical pathology laboratory experience is required.
  • Related experience 3-5 yrs. at bachelors level, 7 years at associate degree level.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detailed-oriented, organized, dedicated, multitask with ease, and work well in a team setting within a diverse group of individuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and reliable and punctual.Must be innovative and able to work with little supervision.
  • Sufficiently medically fit to do work in a bio-containment lab wearing appropriate respiratory equipment and perform assigned duties.
  • Must be willing to work in a biosafety level 2 (BSL2) environment.
  • Must be willing to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
