As a Billing Coordinator at firm, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the client and matter master billing file for assigned practice offices at the firm. You will ensure that all data is correct and that all master billing files are processed accurately and timely. You will interface with attorneys, legal secretaries, and accounting personnel to ensure that client agreements are followed in accordance with billing policies and procedures. You will manage the workflow of client matter rate changes and new matter set-ups, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
As Billing Coordinator, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Billing Coordinator must have knowledge of basic accounting principles, and the ability to comprehend and accurately perform mathematical functions. The ideal candidate will have well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus, and analytical skills needed to correctly comprehend and communicate data. The Coordinator must have knowledge and proficiency in PC Applications . The successful candidate will have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
A High School diploma is required. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in legal billing or billing audit. Experience with Elite preferred.
