Job Description
Assistant Professor (tenure-track) faculty position in Behavioral Neuroscience to begin Fall 2025. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience, a strong research and publication record, a strong commitment to both graduate and undergraduate training, and the ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in biopsychology/neuroscience; advise graduate and undergraduate students; and perform university and professional service. Engagement in both research and innovative teaching are highly valued in our department and university. Research interests should focus on examining the neurobiology of behavior at the molecular, cellular, and/or systems levels using animal models. We seek candidates with specialization in any area of behavioral neuroscience including those whose work incorporates approaches targeting neural, immune, and/or endocrine interactions. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active research program involving undergraduate and graduate trainees with potential for external funding. Miami University has a modern Psychology building, state-of-the-art animal research facilities, and a strong collaborative environment for neuroscience researchers through the Center for Neuroscience and Behavior, including an interdisciplinary co-major and minor in Neuroscience (miamioh.edu/neuro).

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Ph.D. in Biopsychology, Neuroscience or closely related fields by date of appointment.
