Job Description

Akkodis is Seeking an Aerospace System Engineer contractor for the location of Phoenix AZ. It is a contract position for 6 months. Ideally looking for a candidate with experience in the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry.

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Duties

• Must have a Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering discipline

• Experience in software development with a solid foundation in C, C++, Python, LabWindows/CVI.

• 10+ years of related experience, including 3 Years experience in leading Software teams

• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational

• Requirements analysis and decomposition

• Systems Design, Integration, Validation & Verification

• Customer interaction

• Project oversight, coordination and budget/schedule responsibility

• US Person

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) as well as multithreaded environments and embedded systems desired.

• Experience with creating technical documents and developing software requirements from customer inputs along with experience in DO-178B/ DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160 certification requirements.

• Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting

• Experience in ClearCase/ClearQuest, DOORS, BITBUCKET

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly so that it may be understood by both technical and non-technical individuals.

• Ability to move into new teams and quickly learn project defined specific process while applying past knowledge and experience; adapt well to a changing environment, anticipate problems, recognize and eliminate barriers.

• Ability to apply technical concepts to specific tasks and to work with minimum supervision.

• Ability to break a complex problem into manageable parts and organize an approach and a solution in a systematic way.

• Ability to work with cross-functional disciplines (hardware, software, systems) in a team environment, possess good people skills and have the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels.

• Skilled at developing/integrating new ideas, optimizing alternatives & establishing backup plan.

• Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude; highly motivated individual with the ability to self-start, prioritize, and multi-task.
